The Christmas buzz

Ohh my god.... just went into town to meet and greet with a few of the crew, have lunch and buy the inevitable work "secret santa" present.

How bloody hot is it out there today???? OMG - topped out at 30 degrees, and still hovering around the high 20's I believe.

Can someone tell me what all those people in town are doing with their lives?? Don't they have jobs to go to, and if not, why are they wasting their lives in town??? Go to the beach you morons!!! What I would give to be sitting on the beach now, strawberry dacquri in hand, nubile young women slaves waving palm fronds and peeling grapes.... heaven!!

Joke time #002

A Somali arrives in Sydney as a new immigrant to Australia.

He stops the first person he sees walking down the street and says, "Thank you Mr. Australian for letting me in this country!"
But the passer-by says "You are mistaken, I am from Ireland."

The man goes on and encounters another passer-by. "Thank you for having such a beautiful country here in Australia."
The person says "I no Australian, I Vietnamese."

The new arrival walks further, and the next person he sees he stops, shakes his hand and says "Thank you for the wonderful Australia."
That person puts up his hand and says "I am from Iraq, I am not an Australian."

He finally sees a nice lady and asks suspiciously, "Are you an Australian ?"
She says, "No, I am from New Zealand."

So he is puzzled, and asks her, "Where are all the Australians?"
The New Zealand lady looks at her watch, shrugs, and says..."Probably at work."

Cape Raoul walk

Gail and I headed down to Cape Raoul for a walk on Saturday. The weather was typically Tasmanian with a brief shower, a whole lot of wind and brilliant sunshine. However the most surprising thing was running into Kim right out at the end of the cape... can anyone spell 'random'?

Walking the log bridge on the way in

My first view out to the cape

Gail didn't seem too impressed though

In an attempt to check out potential climbs, Gail got a little close to the edge

But instead an injection got a record with a tag."

Movie quote #027

Have a go at this one budding punters:

"When single shines the triple sun, what was sundered and undone shall be whole.
The two made one, by gelfling hand or else by none."

yoda + sun = lobster

Check out the seductive look on this lobster...

Fully burnt from nape to butt with a fair server or shoulder and arms to boot.

But atleast something was achieved. Turned the garden from a jungle into something remotely tidy!! Here's the half-way shot:

And something closer to the finish.

procrastinate this

Yeti Sports has provided many a sanity break. Whether you like smacking penguins with a baseball bat, target practice off an orca's tail or just a quick 18 holes with a flamingo and penguin....

Enjoy, ohh and make good use of the "b" button to hide it when the boss comes a knocking!
